Kinja'd!!!

Hello there all of you beautiful people! My name is Alex and I'm a petrol head. I'm also an English and Psychology major, a writer, an anime connoisseur, and a lover of all things with 4 wheels and an engine.

I'm an extremely hard worker on things that interest me and as a result tend to bite off a bit more than I can chew. Namely organizing a certain gift sharing program on a certain car forum in the same week as finals.

I hope to one day be an english teacher. After I graduate I want to teach in Africa with the Peace Corps. After that I would like to teach in Japan for a couple of years. I would also like to teach in Europe if the opportunity presents it's self. I also hope to one day get my doctorate so that I can be pretentious and force people to call me Dr. Wray.

My favorite types of cars are those made in Italy and Sweden. Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Paganis, Cizetas, Volvos, Saabs, and Koenigseggs. My favorite car of all time is the 458 italia. My dream car is a Cizeta v16T. Also my realistic dream car is a sapphire blue Ferrari 456.

I love anime for the fact that it allows the artist to truly be unique and to show the vision that they truly have in their head. They are not limited by budgets as to what they can creatively do as is in live action. With a shoe string budget someone can make one the best animes of all time about giant fighting robots and their effect on psychologically insane characters. That's what I love about it is that it can do stuff live action could never do in a million years unless you had the budget of Avatar.

Also for those of you interested, my favorite production studio is Brains Base who made such amazing shows as Spice and Wolf, Steins;Gate, Baccano, Penguindrum, Princess Jellyfish (don't judge, it kicks ass), Durarara, and Natsume's Book of Friends. So they not only make my favorite show of all time, Spice and Wolf, but also made what I consider to be two of the BEST anime of all time, Steins;Gate and Penguindrum.

What else is there? My hair is held up by dreams of capitalism and freedom. I love my 5 Dogs (Lucy, Pugsley, Fat Girl, Pippa, and Mamma Dog). I also hate Jane Austen's writing. However I admire Jane Austen herself, she led a pretty interesting life. Also my favorite author is Haruki Murakami.

Well I guess that's me.

German universities like to have native speakers of English for their introductory classes. If you plan this right, you could use that for a work and travel trip through Germany. Like teaching one semester here, and another there etc....

I actually have a good friend that lives in Cologne and he always talks about how beautiful it is. I would love to do that!

Pretty much all of the shows that I listed are really good! (With exception to the episodes of durarara after episode 12 thought that's more of a source issue thing that the production company's) I highly recommend Steins;Gate to anyone though I hear that it can take a while to really get into the story though that varies from person to person since it hooked me right away.

Penguindrum entire story is a metaphor that I can't really explain unless you've seen it yourself. In fact everyone that sees the show has a different interpretation of it and is what Freud would call an "ambiguous stimulus", it means what you want it to mean. What you see in the show tells you a lot about yourself.

However if you want the Alex theory you should watch it keep in mind that...

Shoma represents the adaptation to trauma.

Kanba represents the longing for that which was lost to a trama and the inability to adapt.

Himari represents that which was lost to the trama.

Ringo represents being the beetle everyone forgets. (Just kidding, she represents the feeling of needing to be what others want you to be)

Sanatoshi represents the darkness of human nature.

Mamoka represents the good of human nature.

The Princess of Crystal is the catalyst that causes us to move on with our life.

Though the reason I might consider the show to be so great is because of the way that I interpreted it was so beautiful.
